Our inspection found the existing battery testing at only 215 CCA against a 710 CCA rating, so we're replacing it rather than leaving a weak battery for the next owner.

A new NAPA battery is included in the current reconditioning work.

NEW WINDSHIELD

The windshield was also identified during inspection and is being replaced as part of our reconditioning process.

That's another expense the next owner won't have to immediately deal with.

PARKING ASSIST SENSOR REPLACED

The front parking-assist system also needed attention.

We identified sensor #5 as the front-right mid-outer sensor on the passenger side and are replacing it with a new parking-assist sensor.

The repair is included in our current Ridgeline work order.

FRESH FULL-SYNTHETIC OIL SERVICE

We also gave the V8 our upgraded engine oil service using:

FILTERS AND WIPERS REPLACED

Our inspection found both the engine and cabin air filters needed replacement, so we installed both.

We also installed three new Bosch wiper blades.

Again, these aren't glamorous repairs, but they're the little things that add up after buying an unprepared used vehicle.

EXCELLENT TIRE TREAD

The tire measurements are another nice surprise.

All four tires measured approximately 9/32" tread depth during our inspection.

The front brake pads measured approximately 6mm, with the rears at approximately 5mm.

So this Jeep isn't coming to market immediately needing a set of tires or brakes.

FULL RIDGELINE INSPECTION

Our inspection goes considerably beyond checking whether the dashboard has warning lights.

We checked the battery and cables, scanned all modules, checked power accessories, horn, windshield, wipers and washers, warning indicators, engine startup and idle, road-test drivability, seat belts, exterior lighting, HVAC, fluids, windows and mirrors, engine compartment, air filter, undercarriage, suspension, axles, fuel system, brake lines, exhaust, tires and brakes.

RECALL DISCLOSURE

CARFAX currently shows an open FCA recall, U65 / NHTSA 18V-332, involving ECM/PCM software and the cruise-control/CAN-bus fault-handling strategy. The listed remedy is inspection of the ECM/PCM software level and a software flash if necessary.
