If you're looking for an affordable AWD crossover but don't want a stripped-down base model, this 2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD offers a lot of vehicle for the money.
This is the Grand Touring, powered by Mazda's 2.5L SKYACTIV 4-cylinder producing 184 horsepower, paired with all-wheel drive. CARFAX shows 31 documented service records, and before offering it for sale, Ridgeline put it through our own automotive repair shop and invested another $1,654.07 in inspection, maintenance and mechanical reconditioning.
For a 140,000-mile SUV, that's exactly what we want to see: documented previous maintenance plus substantial recent mechanical work.
We don't simply buy vehicles, wash them, take pictures and put them online.
Our technicians drove and inspected this CX-5 and found several items that needed attention. Rather than leaving those expenses for the next owner, we fixed them before offering the vehicle for sale.
Recent Ridgeline work includes:
The two front control-arm/ball-joint assemblies represented more than $640 in parts and labor, while the new front brake pads and rotors added another $413. Once the suspension repairs were completed, we performed a full four-wheel alignment and set it back to factory specifications.
Our initial inspection measured the front brake pads at only 1mm remaining.
That's exactly the type of expense that can turn an inexpensive used car into a frustrating purchase.
So we replaced the front brake pads and rotors before putting the vehicle up for sale.
We found suspension concerns during the road test as well, which led to replacement of both front control-arm/ball-joint assemblies, followed by the four-wheel alignment.
Altogether, the current Ridgeline repair order totals:
That's $1,654 worth of work the next owner doesn't have to immediately budget for.
A 140,000-mile vehicle doesn't concern us nearly as much when there is evidence that someone actually maintained it.
This CX-5 has 31 documented CARFAX service records.
The early history shows regular maintenance beginning almost immediately after it was purchased, including repeated oil changes and inspections at a Mazda dealership.
Later maintenance includes some particularly valuable items.
At approximately 68,000 miles, previous service included:
At approximately 84,000 miles, it received:
Then at approximately 85,000 miles, the history shows:
More recently, the CX-5 continued receiving regular oil services, including documented services at 119,024, 125,592 and 133,676 miles. The 133,676-mile visit also included a new air filter.
And immediately before coming to Ridgeline, CARFAX shows another oil and filter change at 140,680 miles on August 22, 2026.
We still performed our own full-synthetic service as part of our reconditioning process.
This is the Grand Touring AWD, not a basic Sport model.
The Grand Touring gives you the upscale equipment that makes the CX-5 a much nicer vehicle to live with every day, including features such as:
The vehicle records confirm the 2.5L 184-horsepower engine and AWD drivetrain.
This is something we think is worth pointing out when comparing used compact SUVs from this era.
Instead, Mazda paired the 2.5L SKYACTIV engine with a conventional geared automatic transmission.
For shoppers comparing this against vehicles like a Subaru Forester or Nissan Rogue, that alone may make the Mazda considerably more appealing.
The CX-5 is also known for driving much more like a car than many compact SUVs. The steering is responsive, the size is easy to maneuver, and you still get AWD and useful ground clearance for Colorado weather.
We believe in being upfront about vehicle history.
CARFAX reports two minor damage events.
The first occurred in October 2024 and was reported as minor damage to the front and left-front.
The second occurred in March 2026 and was reported as minor damage to the rear.
Both events fall at the lowest Minor level on CARFAX's damage severity scale. CARFAX describes minor damage as generally cosmetic, such as dents or scratches, and notes that it typically does not compromise vehicle operation or safety.
CARFAX additionally reports:
We're happy to show you the CARFAX and our inspection documentation when you come see the vehicle.
The CX-5 is one of those used vehicles that makes a lot of sense once you look beyond the usual CR-V, RAV4, Forester and Rogue choices.
You get the versatility of a compact SUV without giving up enjoyable driving characteristics.
This one gives you:
At this mileage, we're not trying to convince anyone that it's a brand-new Mazda.
We're showing you exactly why we were comfortable buying it and putting the Ridgeline name behind it.
This is one of the biggest differences between Ridgeline and a traditional used-car lot.
Ridgeline Auto Brokers and Ridgeline Automotive operate vehicle sales and automotive repair under the same roof.
Our inspection process on this Mazda included:
When the road test and inspection revealed suspension and brake concerns, we didn't just note them on a piece of paper.
We repaired them.
That's what we mean when we say Ridgeline Reconditioned.
This CX-5 includes our:
Plus:
FREE First Oil Change
FREE 3,000-Mile Quality Control Inspection
Extended warranty options are also available for customers looking for additional protection.
And because we're also a full-service automotive repair facility and NAPA Auto Care Center, we're still here when it's time for your next oil change, brakes, maintenance or repair.
We don't simply wash vehicles and put them on the lot.
Every vehicle goes through a comprehensive inspection, receives the maintenance and repairs it needs, and is extensively road-tested before being offered for sale.
Our goal is simple:
We also believe used-car buyers deserve to know what they're buying.
We'll show you the CARFAX.
We'll show you what our technicians found.
We'll show you what we repaired.
And if we know about a flaw or previous damage, we'd rather tell you about it before you buy the vehicle than have you discover it afterward.
We're proud of the reputation we've built with both our vehicle sales and automotive service customers.
