1.8L 4-Cylinder | Automatic | Front-Wheel Drive
Black Diamond Pearl | Gray Interior
This is exactly the kind of affordable used car we like finding.
This 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS has only 103,837 miles, has been a Colorado vehicle since new, and most importantly, CARFAX shows it as a ONE-OWNER personal vehicle with an incredible 31 documented service records.
The original owner purchased it in 2012 and kept it for nearly 14 years, averaging only about 7,557 miles per year.
That is unusually good ownership history for a 2013 vehicle.
And before putting it up for sale, we put the Elantra through Ridgeline Automotive and invested another $1,336.42 into inspection, maintenance and reconditioning, including four new tires, new rear brakes and our premium BG EPR/MOA full-synthetic oil service.
The history is probably our favorite thing about this Elantra.
It was manufactured and shipped to Colorado in August 2012 and sold new through Arapahoe Hyundai with only 13 miles on it. The original MSRP was $19,690, and CARFAX identifies the original colors as Black Diamond Pearl over Gray.
That same owner kept the car for approximately 13 years and 11 months.
Not three owners.
Not five owners.
Not a car that bounced through auctions all over the country.
One owner. Colorado. Nearly 14 years.
And the mileage reflects that ownership: an average of only about 7,557 miles per year.
A one-owner car is nice.
A one-owner car with 31 CARFAX service records is even better.
For much of its life, this Elantra was repeatedly taken back to Arapahoe Hyundai, the same Hyundai dealer that originally sold it.
Early records show regular maintenance inspections and oil changes. The 15,000-mile service was performed at 14,877 miles, followed by continued dealer maintenance and a documented 30,000-mile service at 30,184 miles.
The service history continues throughout the car's life rather than disappearing once it got older.
There's some particularly good maintenance in the later history.
At 76,026 miles, the braking system was serviced, including a brake caliper, brake fluid flush, rear brake service and wheel-bearing service. At 79,101 miles, the front brake rotors were replaced.
At 86,422 miles, McDonald Hyundai performed a substantial service that included:
Then at 90,948 miles, the Elantra received another oil change, new spark plugs and another transmission fluid service/flush.
That's meaningful maintenance on a 100K-mile vehicle.
One of the records we particularly like is from May 2026 at 103,770 miles.
Christian Brothers Automotive serviced the vehicle and documented:
Just three days later, at 103,779 miles, it went back to Arapahoe Hyundai for a maintenance inspection, drivability/performance check and oil change.
In July 2026, at 103,813 miles, Christian Brothers also documented checking the engine and engine/powertrain computer.
So this wasn't a car that reached 100K and stopped getting maintained.
We don't simply buy inexpensive cars, wash them and put them on the lot.
An affordable car still needs to be something we're comfortable selling.
This Elantra went through Ridgeline Automotive, our full-service repair facility and NAPA Auto Care Center, where we performed our multipoint safety inspection, module scan and road test.
Our current work order totals $1,336.42 in inspection, maintenance and reconditioning.
Our work includes:
During our inspection, we found the tires were down to approximately 3/32".
We're not interested in putting a car on the lot with tires that the next owner is immediately going to have to replace.
So we're installing four new Kelly Edge Touring Plus tires, including mounting, balancing and new valve stems where applicable.
Our inspection report specifically documents the old tires at 3/32" and our decision to replace them.
That's roughly $440 of the current reconditioning bill by itself.
Our road test also identified brake noise, and inspection of the rear brakes found rusty rotors.
Instead of leaving that for the next owner, we're replacing the rear brake pads and rear brake rotors.
The inspection findings specifically document the brake noise and rusty rear rotors that led us to make the repair.
This is an important part of how we recondition cars.
We don't just tell you that a vehicle was "inspected."
We tell you what we found and what we did about it.
We also gave the Elantra more than a basic oil change.
Our service includes:
BG EPR Engine Performance Restoration
BG MOA Advanced Formula
5W-30 Full Synthetic Engine Oil
New NAPA Engine Oil Filter
BG EPR is used as part of our service before draining the old engine oil. We then drain the oil, replace the filter, refill the engine with fresh full-synthetic oil and add BG MOA.
On an engine with just over 100K miles, we'd much rather start the next owner out with a thorough service like this than simply perform the cheapest oil change possible.
Our inspection also found items that weren't major mechanical problems but still needed attention.
We're installing:
New engine air filter
New cabin air filter
Two new Bosch windshield wiper blades
Again, these are little things, but they're exactly the little things that add up when you buy a used car that hasn't been properly prepared.
Our inspection includes much more than checking for a warning light.
We checked the battery and cables, scanned all modules, checked the doors, horn, windshield, wipers, instruments and warning indicators, engine startup and idle, HVAC, fluid levels, windows and mirrors, engine compartment, undercarriage, suspension, axles, fuel system, brake lines, exhaust, tires and brakes.
We also performed a road test specifically looking for noise, vibration, pulling and drivability concerns.
The battery tested at 600/600 CCA, and the inspection identified the tires, wipers, air filter and rear brake concerns that we're addressing before sale.
This is what we mean when we say Ridgeline Reconditioned.
We believe in being upfront about vehicle history.
CARFAX reports two minor damage events during this Elantra's nearly 14 years with its original owner.
The first was reported in March 2015 and involved minor damage to the front of the vehicle. CARFAX describes minor damage as generally cosmetic, such as dents or scratches.
A second minor damage event was reported in January 2025.
We're happy to show you the complete CARFAX when you come in.
For us, the story here isn't that this is a flashy or complicated car.
It's the opposite.
It's a straightforward, economical 1.8L four-cylinder front-wheel-drive sedan with only about 104K miles.
But what makes this one stand out is its history.
One owner for nearly 14 years.
Colorado since new.
Only about 7,557 miles per year.
31 CARFAX service records.
Long-term Hyundai dealer service history.
Spark plugs already replaced.
Transmission serviced multiple times, including again at 103,770 miles.
Four new tires.
New rear brakes.
Fresh filters and wipers.
Premium BG EPR/MOA full-synthetic oil service.
$1,336.42 invested by Ridgeline before sale.
That's the kind of history and preparation we're looking for in an affordable used vehicle.
This Elantra includes our:
FREE 3-Month / 3,000-Mile Enhanced Powertrain Warranty
FREE First Oil Change
FREE 3,000-Mile Quality Control Inspection
Extended warranty options are also available for customers looking for additional protection.
Ridgeline Automotive is a NAPA Auto Care Center, so we're also here to maintain and repair the vehicle after the sale.
We don't simply wash vehicles and put them on the lot.
Every vehicle goes through a comprehensive inspection, receives the maintenance and repairs it needs, and is extensively road-tested before being offered for sale.
Our goal is simple:
Sell vehicles we'd be comfortable putting our own family in.
This Elantra is a perfect example.
We found worn tires and replaced all four.
We found rusty rear brake rotors and replaced the rear brakes.
We replaced the filters and wipers.
We're addressing the mirror, fog light and tail light.
And we gave the engine our BG EPR/MOA full-synthetic oil service.
That's what we want "inspected" to mean.
"They actually fix their cars before selling them. Huge difference."

"Very knowledgeable and easy to work with."
"Super smooth process and no hidden fees."
"You can tell they stand behind what they sell."
