FOUR BRAND-NEW SEVERE-SNOW-RATED ALL-SEASON TIRES

One of the biggest upgrades is a complete new set of Advanta SVT Plus Severe Snow All-Season tires.

We installed all four, mounted and balanced them, and replaced the valve stems where applicable.

For an older 4X4 that will likely see Colorado winter duty, we'd much rather send it out with four fresh snow-rated tires than leave the next owner with an immediate tire bill.

MAJOR ENGINE RESEALING & MAINTENANCE

This Escape also received a significant amount of engine-related work.

Our current repair order includes:

• Timing cover gasket service
• Front crankshaft seal as part of that repair
• Valve cover gasket set
• Oil pan gasket set
• Intake/plenum gasket set
• New PCV hose
• New serpentine belt
• Six new Bosch spark plugs
• New engine air filter

The timing-cover and related sealing work alone accounts for more than $1,000 of the current repair order.

We also installed six new Bosch spark plugs.

Those aren't cosmetic repairs. They're exactly the kind of mechanical work that matters on a 22-year-old SUV.

FRESH FULL-SYNTHETIC OIL SERVICE

Before sale, the 3.0L V6 received our upgraded oil service using:

New NAPA Oil Filter
BG EPR Engine Performance Restoration
BG MOA Advanced Formula

The vehicle was also road-tested and put through our multipoint safety inspection.

A/C SYSTEM ADDRESSED

Our inspection found the A/C system low on refrigerant, so we performed an A/C system diagnostic and replaced the A/C service valves as part of the reconditioning process.

We also replaced all three worn wiper blades with Bosch blades.

20+ YEARS WITH ONE OWNER

The history is one of the most interesting things about this Escape.

The first owner purchased it new in Colorado in 2004.

The second owner purchased it in 2005 and kept it for approximately 20 years and 3 months, averaging only about 8,047 miles per year. The third owner also remained in Colorado.

That's an unusually long ownership period for any used vehicle.
